a visual investigation into the mysteries of man versus environment. By achieving a bird’s eye view of common day scenes and embracing the distortion that lenses can create, I am creating parallel universes full of detachment and contemplation. Without everyday physical references—such as a tree, a building, etc—humans cannot determine their stature. By removing these references from myself, yet still imposing them on my subjects, I am able to transform landscapes into archetypal stories of humans and their quest to conquer their surroundings.
